I tell you guys, some of the stuff I find myself dealing with as an apartment manager…

Today, there were human feces (that’s poop, for those who need clarification) on the front stairwell down to the garage. HUMAN feces. Right in the middle of the stairway. Unavoidable. Cleaning guy doesn’t come till tomorrow. And, it wasn’t all nice and solid, we’ll leave the description at that.

So…guess what I had to do.

I used a magazine because it was relatively rigid.

The kicker, guys? The kicker? This is the second time this has happened.

I shared this with one of my fellow apartment managers, and her suggestion was to leave a bag and a roll of toilet paper in the stairwell. Tell you the truth, it’s not such a bad idea.

I’m 100% certain it’s one of the few homeless people that live in our neighborhood. My god, if it was one of my tenants, I might die from laughter at the ridiculousness of the situation. And then evict their ass. But, it’s not. It’s got to be one of the homeless, and there’s not really much I can do about that except shake my head, grab a magazine with scraping properties, and deal with it. And share it on this blog, of course.

Today was restful. Not quite as restful as I thought it would be, but I’m not sure why. I caught up on some sleep, and I spent the day watching my A’s get beat by a sub-.500 team, a few episodes of the Black Sails pirate show from Starz, and hanging out with Liz and Mr. Coops. Thing is, these days off just seem to go by so quickly. They really do.

And, to be honest, I’m still feeling pretty burned out and “out of it.” Which makes me nervous about tomorrow, given that I’d really like to get the rest of my script written. Rough draft, puked out writing, but writing done nonetheless.

Oh, well. I’ll just have to sack up and push that feeling aside, won’t I?

By gods, the writing will happen tomorrow. I must find that resolve. I want it done. Crapfest or not, I want it done. It’ll make me feel better.

So that’s it. I’m off to bed, then. Tomorrow will be a day of music and keyboard smacking. Feel what it’s like to actually be doing what I want to do with my life.

By the time I sit down to write this blog tomorrow, I wish it to be with a rough draft to boast about. To that end, I wish you goodnight!
