Artwork tonight from Paul Lehr.

Today was our last day up here in the Bay Area and we definitely made the most of it. It was up early for a trip across the bay to Moraga to see Grandma Ho, who’s in a home out there. She was actually fairly alert, at least for a few minutes and said she was feeling well. Then, it was down the street to Nation’s whose commercials I know very well from listening to the A’s radio broadcasts over the years.

We came home, took the dogs on a walk, I took a very brief nap, and then it was back into the car with the pups this time to head down the Burlingame shopping center downtown area with Liz’s mom to walk around. We did that for a bit, and then had some lunch together at Delfina, which is a favorite pizza place of theirs, and totally reminds me of Pitfire Pizza back home in LA. Very rustic, super delicious crust, and mightily delicious.

It was home after that, the pups were fed, and then it was time for a LEGIT nap. We slept in our room with the window open, under the afternoon sun and the breeze blowing through. I think that nap lasted a good hour and a half, I’m not quite sure. I remember checking the A’s score with my head propped up, and my eyes refusing to stay open. I was that tired 😛

Then I took a shower and we all got ready to go out to our big dinner night at San Mateo Prime, which is a prime rib place that they apparently take ALL their guests out too…except for US for the past million years. Well, today we joined the club, folks! It was an honor 🙂 Food was insanely delicious, for reals…the wine was good, we shared a bottle of a Sonoma Pinot Noir, and it was all-around good times.

At home, we watched the latest episode of American Ninja Warrior, which we didn’t even realize they also watched, so that was cool. We haven’t been keeping up this year, but I think we will now. Such a fun show. I remember watching it when it was on Sunday afternoons, and it was just set out in Japan. It’s definitely grown into a full-blown American brand now as well, so that’s fun.

Coco is SNORING right now hard core. They had a very busy day, those pups, and they did great. Check out today’s video over on YouTube to *see* everything I’m talking about.

Tomorrow…we drive…and then it’s back to work for two insane weeks before another trip…this next one being a full week long. Huzzah!
