It wasn’t quite back to normal gravity today…but it was close. Better. I got some good work done, FINALLY.
Apartment business ruled the early morning hours, but then that cleared away and I was able to focus on the Flix work for the entire rest of the day. Got some stuff figured out workflow-wise, met some new people in the command chain and from other various departments…it was a good day. Oh, and went over the hill and snagged myself a drive from good ‘ol Mr. Reed.
So that feels nice…I’m finally on the ground, running. I have 5 weeks, basically, to get this pile of work done. I thought I’d have more time, but I’m still pretty confident I can do it. I ripped through 4 of them today, basically after spending half my time doing other formerly mentioned activities just to get started. Meaning, during a normal day, I think I might be able to do twice as many. Maybe even three times as many once I get the hang of it all.
It’s my first project, REAL project, with the video team, and so there was all this setup to do! Even installing all new programs onto my computer. That stuff takes time. I’m glad to be done with it…I think. It’s still early 😛
No writing today, but guys, that’s going to get back into the swing of things next week. For reals. Looking forward to it!
Caught some of the A’s game during dinner and walking the pups. They won. That’s 6 in a row! Pretty sure we didn’t even come close to that all last year, so clearly this team is a bit better. How much better remains to be seen. I also put on some of the hockey game while I worked at night, it was the Sharks v the Kings…and the Sharks won. Meaning they won the series, knocked the Kings out of the postseason. That was pretty cool, actually. Hockey’s an exciting game. I can see why people watch it.
The pups kept me company all day. The Ho was gone pretty much from 9am to just about 45 minutes ago. That’s been our week this week. Is what it is.
