The work week has begun!

I had a very productive day today, one of those days where I was pretty much on-time all day. Loooooove those days.

I will admit, however, that I am definitely feeling podcast-work fatigue. I want to be DONE with this podcast…and every single twist and turn that I’ve gone through with this process has taken twice as long as I’d anticipated. This latest phase is a perfect example – it became clear to me today that it was going to take me a full hour to grab the live audio that I like, put that into place, and then add in the snippets for the opening song. I’d wanted it to take 30 minutes.

But…at least knowledge is power. I know exactly how much I can get done this week if I keep my wits about me. It won’t be all of seasons 2 *and* 3…but it will be season 2. That will be completely done and ready to ship, down to the artwork and the metadata. It will just need to be uploaded a couple weeks from now, which was my entire goal. Don’t know if any of y’all remember, but season 1 released a full MONTH after it was supposed to, and I did not want that shit happening again.

It’s hard to listen to my regular podcasts about writing books and stuff, because I listen to them and it gets me all jazzed up to write…and then I come home and I work on podcast stuff. That gives me anxiety 😛 I feel like I’m wasting time. But here’s the perspective on that: I am a finisher. I finish what I say I’m going to finish…and I committed to this podcast. I *love* this podcast…it’s worth finishing. But…my mind has already moved onto what I want to do next, and that’s anxiety inducing.

The solution has to simply been to keep my head down and do the work I planned on doing. Which, so far: success! 🙂

Anywho, it’s time for the sleeps. Or, more accurately, reading. 🙂

Night night.
