Sigh.

Today was a big fail on the writing front. I’m just too anxious, guys, and that’s okay. I know exactly what the source of that “anxiety” is…it’s actually excitement, if you decide to put a positive spin on it, and it’s because exciting things are happening!

BUT, we’re going to jump immediately into the wins for today: I got a full days’ worth of video editing in for Netflix. Reworking a project from last week, unfortunately, but I think I’m on the right track now. Needs some polishing up first thing tomorrow. I got reading done; I’m almost done with this book on how to use Amazon ads. I also did all the tiny little tasks that I’d targeted to get done today. I also got my blog switched over, finally, to iraheinichen.com — those old “incrediblog” links will only work for the next couple days. All the old posts will be here, but the old links on like Facebook and stuff won’t work anymore.

So, it is MOMENTOUS that today is the day that The Incrediblog was no more. It’s now just iraheinichen.com. It’s now just me. And you. Hi 🙂

The REASON that I’m so excited and anxious is that Starstuff launches tomorrow. At midnight, I think. Finally. I’ll be a real published author. I’ve put in so much time and effort into this day, and I wish that I could just sit inside that feeling instead of the swirling tornado that’s inside my head right now, but I am who I am, and this, too shall pass. It’s my first launch. I want it to go well, and I’m sure it will. And I will learn from the bumps in the road here and there.

DISCLAIMER FOR MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY READING THIS: please do NOT go and buy Starstuff tonight or tomorrow; I will make an announcement on when to do that. The reason is this: Amazon is an algorithm-driven sales machine, MEANING, if I feed its computers the right kind of data, it will sell my book for me to people who’d love to read it. The BIGGEST single source of data information it needs, is what kind of other books people have purchased that are also buying Starstuff. Meaning…unless you buy SciFi books all the time, your past purchase data is not the right match for my book, and it will pollute the algorithm. Amazon then doesn’t know who to sell my book to. It doesn’t know to show it to a bunch of nerds who love reading Science Fiction and Space Opera. I need it to know that.

It takes the ‘Zon a couple weeks to fill in that correct data, so just kick it for a little while until that process is up and running. I’ll make an announcement, and y’all can have at it 🙂

That’s all for tonight. Wish me luck tomorrow getting any work done. We’ll see what happens 😛
