They are tired.
Today was exactly what I wanted it to be. I rocked it. I still fell *just* shy of my goal…but to be fair, my goal was extremely, extremely ambitious. I have 3 1/2 minutes left to stretch over tomorrow and the next day. Not too bad, eh? Not too bad.
The A’s lost today 2-1. We were up against a left-handed starter…ie- that has been our kryptonite this season even more consistently than our defense or our bullpen. I can look at a schedule and pretty much definitively point out if we’re facing a left-handed pitcher that we’ll lose. Doesn’t matter who it is, or what their record is, we’re not going to score runs off of them. It’s been like that for…two seasons, I think? No, three. I think that started back in 2013.
Anyway, watched some more DS9 today. Turned the corner on the 3rd season and launched into the 4th, when Worf joins the cast. It’s so much fun watching this show from beginning to end…I’m far enough in now where I have very clear memories of watching the show on the regular. Setting my VCR with the tape inside to record each episode as it aired. The ones in syndicated repeats, too.
Anywho, I’m exhausted. It’s 2am, and that’s all I got. Three work days accomplished, and I’m very, very happy with myself. Job well done. Two days off now, and then right back into the fire.
