Today was a great day. I was feeling under the weather for almost all of it, including right now. BUT…that had almost zero effect on how good the day was.
Started off with some editing work. Didn’t quite get it done when I wanted to, but that was okay because I made up for it later on in the day. Then it was off to see our friend Alfredo, another writer, for some lunch. That was a ton of fun. Got to catch up, talk about what we were all doing with our lives and actually get to know him better. It was a wonderful time, for reals. We keep meaning to swing by one of his bars in Oakland, but the timing hasn’t ever worked out. We really do want to! And we will. Especially after hanging out with him reminded us both of how much we enjoy his company.
Then it was some napping, owing to the aforementioned feeling “under the weather.” Woke up still not feeling so great, but fed the pups, finished my editing work, and then sitting down to watch some of the Royals – Blue Jays game. Blue Jays won…but they won it on a blowout. Doesn’t bode well for the Jays over the course of the series. But, hey; at least they got one, right?
I’m out of steam guys. #BoycottStarWarsVII circled around twitter today in protest of a black lead for the movie (wtf?)…the Canadians elected a new prime minister for the first time in, like, two decades…oh! And I miiiiiight have a lead on a new “day job.” We’ll see how that goes…
