Twas a good day off today, y’all. Yes it ’twas.
Got my writing done. Not first thing, like I like to do lately, but I still got it done. 2/3 of the way through Act 4. I can definitely finish that shit tomorrow. Feeling good. The script is still going to be long, I think. But in the ballpark, and very cut-able. I’ll cut what I can on my own, and then maybe let the Ho read it and see where it’s still dragging. We’ll see. This is, without a doubt however, going to be the best draft of this script. By far. Very excited about that.
The day started off with walkies con los puppies, then I actually ran over to another building down the street from us because they’re heading out of town for Thankgivings, and THEN I went to Petco to pick up some food for the aforementioned pups…and I also found a new bowl for the Coco. She’s been eating out of this cheap plastic travel bowl for almost a year now…and I’ve wanted to get her a new one, a ceramic or glass one like the Coopy has for a while now. Well, today I did it. It’s very nice and fancy and pettite, just like da Coco.
Then I ate some breakfast and watched Red Zone football for the rest of the morning. Took a little nap for a half hour, then watched the Niners lose to the Seahawks. Played a tiny bit of Skyrim, then walked the pups and, did my writing directly after than, and then went grocery shopping…ate dinner and watched the rest of The Phantom, which was garbage, but very pretty and SHOULD have been so fun…took another half hour nap, give or take, and then played a little more Skyrim before the Ho came home. She was out hanging with our friend Aaron.
I wrapped up the day with a nice shower, did the dishes, and now I’m in bed with the Coops passed out next to me. He has zombie eyes right now and he’s on his back, which means that he’s relaxed and very tired. I feel you dog, I feel you.
Going to go read this series of articles/blog posts that this author put together back in 2012 about revising and rewriting a novel once you have it written. It’s perfect for my situation. Not necessarily that I’ll take her process lock stock and two smoking barrels, but rather that it’ll provide some insight into the options that I have ahead of me.
Anywho…it was a nice day today. Still feel a bit tired, but hey, par for the course. I’m being productive and getting to hang out with me wife and dogs…life’s pretty good. Good night 🙂
