The script and accompanying documents are in. I think I spent two weeks on them. WAY more than I thought, but what I realize now is that it was essentially a pitch document. That is an incredibly important skill to have…and I wouldn’t say that I *have* that skill yet, but I’m certainly an apprentice now.

Goddamn it feels good to have sent that in. I still feel like it’s incredibly likely that I’m just not a good fit for their program…BUT…I feel like I have a chance. I really do. I did what I needed to do, I did my best. My best that I could muster, given my inexperience. But, hopefully at least I was clear. That’s all I can hope for, at any point in my career, novice or master.

Had a really nice breakfast with Falk this morning, our neighborhood superhero. We hadn’t seen him for quite a while. Always such nice, deep conversations with him. He’s a very thoughtful dude, and I always enjoy talking to him. He’s going through pilot season, we talked hollywood, we talked life…it was good. And Jinky’s cafe is a good spot for breakfast, I realized. I’ve been there a couple times and just realized that today, for some reason 😛 Solid breakfast diner food. I approve.

Man…I am spent. Allergies continue to take their toll. But, I’m pushing through. Just feels really nice to have sent off that stuff and to be moving on now to other things. Deadlines are legit, guys. Use them as often as you can. I highly recommend.

Oh! And we washed the Coco. She was really, really dirty. Now she’s sparkly and clean.
