Allergy apocalypse 2016 continues. BUT…at least the snot coming out is clear, y’all. No infections so far!

I was also just thinking that it’s warm right now, which it is. I called our building’s AC repair guy to inquire as to whether or not it was worth it to try and fix our trusty Danby…and the answer was no. They use coolants nobody carries here in the states, they don’t have spare parts, and therefor nobody out here works on them, really. So, I think we’re going to be getting a new portable AC. I haven’t even actually told the Ho that yet đŸ˜› I didn’t have the chance earlier today.

Got my writing done first-thing today. Started in on Act 2. Need to make some serious headway tomorrow in order to stay on target for the month. Then, it was off to the races for Josh and I recording our first “Two Guys One Trek” podcast, where we will watch every one of the original series episodes, which Josh has never seen. It was an effortless endeavor, really. He and I have so much natural chemistry and such a long history of making stuff together…but mostly, it’s just the concept of the podcast. I’m the trek old-timer, and he’s the trek first-timer…and that dynamic, particularly being able to mine his first gut reactions to the show…I mean that’s solid gold. It’s something that can’t be duplicated, you know? I mean, we only ever get to do things for the first time once. You can’t fake that, there’s only one first time. And this is Josh’s first time watching any of these shows. It’s fascinating to me, and hopefully to enough people.

I told Josh the only thing I worried about with doing this was knowing how much of a time commitment it was going to be. 80 episodes of the original series. That’s a lot. If we are able to fit in doing 3 episodes per time we meet, that’s going to take us 27 meetings to get through the whole show. Half a year. Major time commitment. But…I’ve honestly never had a single doubt that we’d be able to pull off something worthwhile once we sit down. It’s so much FUN to watch a show with someone who’s seeing it for the first time! And that’s what I get to do. I feel quite lucky.

Then the Ho and I went to go see Nikolai over by his place at the Desert Rose, which we’d seen some dubious reviews of, but I actually found to be quite nice. It was so good to see Nikolai! He sounds like he’s doing well. Keeping his nose to the grindstone, man, and he’s recently found some new inspiration for some new projects. It was nice catching up, hanging out. Being social.

Now, it’s time for the sleeps. Good night!
