Today was my wifey’s birthday and we spent all day together. It was a *grand* time.
Woke up, and was getting ready to do a pretty full day of editing work…and realized that was a terrible idea. I should just rearrange everything so that I’m working Tuesday through Saturday instead, and have the day to just hang out with my wife and make her feel special and wonderful and just have a damn good time together.
So, that’s what we did. We had breakfast together, then we went out to Glendale together and she used the $100 at Michael’s (or any store of her choice) shopping extravaganza with myself coupon that I’d made for her last night. We went to Joann’s first, then Michaels, and she got this light board thing that she was so surprised to see at the store because it’s been sold out everywhere and it was even on SALE.
She found a bunch of good stuff. It was a coup. Then we came home, hung out for a bit, and then walked the pups together. Today was the last day, apparently, that Starbucks does a special drink for your birthday. So we went there and got that for her and walked home.
Then we went and had din din with Joe and Madhuri at Medici’s pizza which is so freaking good! SO GOOD! Seriously, the Ho and I just had to stop and talk about how good the food is there for the price.
Anyway…I hope that she had a good birthday. I had a BLAST with her today. We so rarely get to spend an entire day with each other it seems. It’s nice to be with someone whom you truly enjoy spending time with, people. That’s a major, major component of a happy relationship.
