Had another good work day today. Thank the lord baby Jesus. Got my editing done, my VOing done…and most importantly my writing done. I’m six days off my pace…so 18 pages. Nothing! Nothing at all. It can be done, you guys. It can be done.

The Ho handled the apartment building business today like a champion. Saved me ass, to be honest, because if she handn’t been able to, I wouldn’t have had any time for work. Clutch right there.

Then, we went over the hill to Jack McBrayer’s house. You know, the charming fellow from 30 Rock. He did a pilot with Liz, and he’d gotten his hands on it and invited everyone over to watch it together before the announcements had been made. From what I could see, everyone *genuinely* had a wonderful time making this pilot, and I think they all wanted to get together and enjoy each other’s company again at LEAST one more time…hopefully many more times…but we don’t know yet. Nobody does. It’s quiet.

Liz was great in the pilot. And I mean it. I know I’m supposed to say that…but I’ve seen my wife do a lot of work you guys. A lot. And this is the best she’s done. Big laughs. for reals. And not because she was pushing it…no, she was very, very real on the screen and I am so fucking proud of her. She was a LEAD. She was the anchor of the show. She was in a word great…and I hope the NBC picks them up.

It was nice up there in the hills. I can see why people like having houses up there. Perhaps a bit crowded, but the views you can’t beat, and the quiet up there is to die for. We’d arrived a bit (a lot) early and so we went for a walk around the neighborhood and found the reservoir. I’d never seen it before, but now I have. It looked rather fucking beautiful I must say. Makes me want to go hike around it. I might do that one of these days off when I’ve written my pages and am feeling antsy.

I want to do that this year. Hike a bit more around LA. There is stuff to see, and I haven’t seen it, you know? Walk around, listen to some music, take some photos. It sounds like a blast.

Anywho…tomorrow is more work, more writing, more of it all. And hopefully a pickup. I truly do hope.
