So I did a lot of audio editing today. I actually did a couple hours of Flix work as well…even though I think I was easily over my hours threshold…do what you gotta do, you know? But mostly, I edited TG1T. It made me laugh today, even though I’ve been doing so many of them. I think it might be a specific type of humor, that being very, very stilly and rather stupid…but there is quite a bit of thoughtful analysis and response as well…I hope some people enjoy it.
But, really, the star of the show is Star Trek. I mean, that series still continues to be relevant, goofy, iconic, and flat-out bonkers to this day. It’s incredible the serious legacy that it inspired, and that’s not to knock the show, or to say that it wasn’t dead serious in its own right. No, I mean just that if you take that show from the 60s by itself, at face value, a lot of people would have had a hard time imaging just what a massive world it was building. An empire. It’s easily one of the most important pieces of Intellectual Property in human history.
And, I love watching it with Josh. We just have a blast. It’s so much fun. And that, really, was the point of this whole thing in the first place. To just get together and record ourselves having fun, participating in something that we truly love. I think that shows through in the podcast.
We got our artwork finished today. Well, I guess a couple very minor tweaks on it, but it’s virtually done…and it is AWESOME. I wish I could post it here. So glad we decided to do it.
Anywho, the Ho’s Jack Sigler book just got cray, and it’s time for the sleeps for me. Work tomorrow. Night.
