Tonight’s title entry is a bit misleading. I didn’t do *nothing* today. I was up at the buttcrack getting the Ho and her female compatriots out the door for Kristen’s birthday party. Then I did my writing hour. And then Josh was over for a solid editing sesh. And THEN I did a whole lot of freaking nothing. First day in foooorrrreeeeevvvveeerrrrr where that’s the case. Praise be to baby G.

Sorry, just had to go away for a second and get the new that one of my “new” favorite writing apps Scrivener is FINALLY coming to the iPad. That pretty much seals it, y’all. I will be getting a new iPad pro with this money that I’ve saved up in my own discretionary account. I will have enough for the iPad, a pencil for it, and a keyboard. Maybe not the AppleCare right off the bat, but we shall see. So, that’s exciting.

So, why an iPad for writing and not just, say a MacBook Air? Well, good question. The MacBook Air undoubtedly has its advantages, the main one being that it’s a full computer and that it comes with a keyboard. The major downside being that I can’t detach that keyboard if I want to…and I can’t write on the screen. Yes. I really do think I will use the goddamn pencil stylus. For notes. Sketches. Lists, etc. But mostly notes. And even if I don’t, I know I like writing on an iPad. I wrote an entire novel on one. And this Scrivener app coming to the iPad is just the icing on the cake.

I still don’t have the writing hour stamina that I’d like to have. But I’m working on it. I’ve got about 30 minute in me right now. If I can get that up to 45 minutes in the next…two weeks?…I’ll call that a success.

It’s sleepy time. More tomorrow, I promise.

Night!
