Another entry past midnight, which wasn’t the plan, but it happens folks. We have to roll with what our days give us, don’t we?
Today was the opposite of yesterday. I got everything done I wanted to…pretty much in the exact time I wanted as well. Except for the very end of my day, obviously, given that I’m writing this about a half hour later than I like to 😛 But, man…other than that, it was a hugely successful day.
Writing: done.
Podcasting: done.
Narrations: done.
No work on the Flix side of things today, but that was be design. Tomorrow and Friday should be sufficient to pounce on the necessary work for the rest of this week.
But, man…finally. Finally! A day that worked out like I wanted it to. I guess it was really only TWO days that didn’t…but it felt like more. I keep thinking that tomorrow is Friday…I wonder if that’s because I’m so used to podcasting with Josh on Thursdays…but tomorrow is Thursday. Which is dope. It’s like I get an extra day this week. Love it.
Writing is still going quite well, despite these couple hiccups the past couple days. I turned down a writing retreat next week, which hurt my soul. It was partly because of this new project I’m being assigned for work, but it was also because those “sprints” writing-wise can actually take their toll on me, in terms of a precipitous drop-off in production following said sprint…and that’s precisely what I’m trying to move AWAY from in my process. Building in this consistency that happens every day, day-in, day-out…to make me immune to such ebbs and flows of production. My output shall be as constant as the North Star…or whatever that phrase is. Damned if I can remember where it comes from either…something famous. Not looking it up.
I was SO NICE to podcast with Josh today. Man…it had been too long. We had pizza, talked and watched Trek, and generally had a grand old time. I’m seeing him again on Saturday for some Monroe editing stuffs, and the following week as well. Gotta get that pushed through, man. Boy’s got a deadline to meet. Need to do everything we can to help him meet it.
Anywho, it’s time for the sleeps. 12:30 is upon me, and the eyes be a-drooping. Hopefully one of these nights I’ll be going to bed on time…get some reading in…a man can dream, can’t he?
Night y’all 😉
