I have to admit off the top that I had a muscle spasm on my neck, or a seizing/tightening muscle at the very least. It happened a few weeks ago when I was trying to do a bunch of narrations before I got my handy mic-arm that attaches to my desk, which I can move to a position wherever I want as I’m sitting normally in my chair. Well that addition to the setup made it actually possible to do a whole day’s worth of narrations, but the pain from my shoulder still managed to linger for a week and a half or so…and that same part of my neck/shoulder tends to flare up whenever I drive for too long, which is what happened today. And then we drive home tomorrow again, which looms the very real possibility these poor muscles will ge tense enough to really be uncomfortable for the next several days…which I definitely don’t want give the work week I have ahead of me.
So, I took a pill before bed that will help loosen things up a bit. We’ll see. It’s making me drowsy, for sure. That’s really about all these drugs ever do to me – make me drowsy, or in the case of something like caffeine, make me have the shakes. My tolerance for drugs seems to be fairly high, which is a goddamned good thing, since I have no interest in becoming a drug addict. And that helps when drugs honestly don’t do much for you.
Anywho, it’s 1am and time for the sleeps. Spending the night up here in the bay, it’s the baby shower tomorrow, and then it’s back to down LA so we can have a full day off before crushing a very long and intense work week. Deadlines, yo. They need to be met. And I’m set up for success I think. I’m not EXACTLY as far along as I wanted to be, but I’m close enough.
That’s all the new that’s fit to report. Catch you on the flip
