Boiling Point makes me think of hot pockets, which makes me think of thought pockets…which is a reference, in case you didn’t know, to Two Guys One Trek. Mm mm…thought pockets.
Really, it’s “mmmmmm, Boiling Point.” So, me bro Scotty too hottie came into town tonight with his bae Addie. They’re staying out in Pasadena, so we used to the opportunity to go to Boiling Point tonight and get some of that delicious Taiwanese hot pot deliciousness. See! That’s why I thought of hot pockets…because the style of food is called “hot pot!” It wasn’t totally random after all. It was so, so nice to see Scott and Addie…love dem a lot…
Coco just layed out next to my leg on the bed and she currently has one of her hind feet pushed up against my iPad. She uses those hind legs when she’s on her back like this to move herself around…I foresee disaster when she inevitably pushes up against the iPad. Gonna happen. I’ll give you a play-by-play if it does.
The pups were gone all day today! Liz had them down south a ways for an Instagram meet-up. Apparently there was a magician there who no one has yet been able to tell me if he was supposed to entertain the dogs or the people. I love the idea of a dog magician. I think his/her act would consist of making treats appear. Pretty straightforward, really. I supposed you’d have to mix in some people-jokes too, keep everyone entertained.
I worked all day, and for the second day in a row hit all my goals. The only thing that was not done was writing…which I knew was going to be a distinct possibility. I don’t like non-writing days…they really get me out of my rhythm…but it was necessary. I went on a walk with the Ho after finishing work instead of writing because I needed to get out of the house, and I did miss her and pups so. Really nice walk, then out to the ‘dena, then home again for some brief scene work with da Ho, and now bed time.
It’s before midnight! Huzzah! It’s a Christmas miracle.
Been thinking a lot lately, as you’ve noticed with several entries lately, about my current output level of written work, and what I can do to push that up as high as I can. I don’t think I actually have anything new to say about it tonight, except that it continues to be on my mind, and I suppose I should take that thinking to the next level and actually set some goals and take some steps to accomplish those goals…
One step at a time, man. First, I have to get back into my writing rhythm…which has honestly only been disrupted now for two days. Feels like a goddamned eternity. Will be disrupted tomorrow, as well. Have to make my Flix work the priority, seeing as I got as far “behind” as I did.
That’s all for tonight, y’all. One more big work day before I get to hang out with my bro and his friends from Tanzania, and hopefully Addie and Liz too…then three more big work days…and then I’m off to Northern California to hang out with Ryan and Lisa. Looking forward to it!
Night!
