Work day today. Gonna be one of THOSE blogs tonight probably. We’ll see. I never know when I sit down to write these things just where my post-day mind will take me. The suspense! Anything can happen!
Went into the Flix office today to get more project files for this…project. Wrote myself into a corner there, too many projects. But I’m full up now on that front. Have everything I need for the next month or two. Depending on how long I get for this thing. We’ll see about that. I think I might need reinforcements if they want it done by the end of next month…
Before going into the office, I got my writing practice done. Full hour of it. I worked today on colors and recalling them on my morning walk. I just read the prompts to the Ho, and she said “Bear, those are awesome.” I hope what I’m doing is the right thing to do…I can’t say yet that I really feel confident about it, BUT…
The point in these early days is simply to set myself into a ROUTINE of doing deliberate practice. The actual practice itself I’ll put into the pressure cooker in another four weeks or so. Right now, I’m content with establishing the routine, the habit, the ritual.
This new schedule is quite exhausting…but I have faith that I’ll adjust. I woke up this morning feeling very energized, so I take that as a good sign. Did I also mention that the other day I did some planning. I think I did…I think that was last night, as a matter of fact 😛
Anyway…tomorrow the creative writing gets back on track – the office visit threw in wrench into that today – and the deliberate reading as well.
