November is upon us, y’all. Holy. Shyte. Balls.
I feel like I have soooooo much stuff to do! Well, I guess I *feel* that way because I *do* have so much stuff to do 😛
What I realized today was that in order to actually finish everything I need to, I need to FOCUS. And focus on, like, one or two tasks, and not deviate from those. So…here it is:
I will be working on this Netflix project I’ve been assigned, and I will be working on Starstuff. Everything else, including poor Two Guys One Trek and narrations (for the time being) will be put on the back-burner. Not on HOLD, per se, but only worked on when those first two are ahead of schedule. The *hope* is that the next week and a half will get me where I want to be, so that the last couple weeks of November can then be used to catch up on the other two projects. But, we’ll see how it goes.
I ordered my new computer monitor today…it’s a behemouth. I had anguished about whether or not to buy it, but after I finally did purchase it today, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders, which means I made the right decision. It’s done now. The last *major* expense of the year business-wise…which means we can go back to saving money as opposed to spending it. Wait…I guess that’s not quite true – we have a tax to pay still. So, there’s that. Almost out of the woods.
But I do feel energized and focused. It’s weird, but I feel like part of that was because I went and saw the doctor in the morning and did a couple “errands.” Somehow, getting outside and doing outside stuff energizes me. Makes me feel productive. Go figure.
Got my TDAP vaccination, that’s why I went to the doctor. Now we’re all ready to meet some babies. That is going down in a couple weeks. Yikes! It’s so close! Baby should be coming any day now, actually. We’re on text-message-alert. I’m sure she’s ready to go.
Oh, and the Cubs won game 6 tonight of the world series, which (obviously) forces a game 7. It means they have a chance to win it all. I hope they do, jesus christ, and we can all move on from the pooooorrrr cubbies and how they neevvveerrrrr win. That would be nice. This Cubs team definitely deserves to win…they’re uncommonly good. We’ll see what happens.
Anywho…reading a new classic tonight! The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. It was $2.99 which is what made it beat out Neuromancer and The Left Hand of Darkness. I’ll probably read those two next.
Good night!
