The Patriots won the Super Bowl tonight, like they were supposed to. It was the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history, and it also gave Brady his fifth (?) ring…which is not good news for an old school Niner fan like me. Sigh. That makes him the greatest ever. Not Montana. Brady.
It’s bullshit, is what I’m saying. Especially the way the Falcons lost that game. I mean, jesus. They had a 25-point lead in the 3rd quarter. It went to OT, and the Falcons never even got the football. They’d been putting Brady on his ass all game…and then they ran out of gas. The Pats had some left in the tank, and the Falcons didn’t, it was really as simple as that. Brady was unstoppable.
I wrote all the rest of the day. I averaged 18 pages an hour, which is…not good. But, I plugged away. Perhaps my goal of 30 pages an hour was unrealistic. I’m not sure. We’ll see what my average is once I’m done.
All this shit takes time, you know? Especially at first…and that’s where I am. First. Doing all this stuff for the first time.
I also got all the Flix work done that I needed to, thank you baby g. THAT was a major win. Still behind a bit on narrations, which is I think the first week in a month that’s been true…but I’ve really been focusing on the writing and the Netflix these past couple weeks, so being only an hours’ worth of work behind is a friggin blessing. It’s a-okay is what I’m saying.
Anywho…I’m going to get some reading done. This past week was a long week. I need a day off…but I also really need to finish this fucking book. I keep feeling like I’m only a couple days away, and that obviously hasn’t been the case…but I also realize that’s mainly because of these other commitments I have made, all the other work.
Maybe I can’t have my cake and eat it too…but I’m going to keep trying.
Night!
