I’m so, so, soooo close, you guys. Jesus almighty.

I really, really wanted to finish typing in all these line edits today…but it wasn’t physically possible. Not with duties like walking the dogs, voting, and eating. Sigh. I wish this phase was faster, I was expecting it to be faster…but it’s not. I can do 20 pages an hour. Right now at least. Maybe some day I’ll get that up to 40 or so…but right now, that’s as fast as I can go.

That means this manuscript is 18 hours of work typing in each of these line edits. That’s, like three full-time days of work…and when you’re juggling three other jobs like I am…well, that’s a whole week or two of just typing in fucking line edits. That’s…frustrating. But, it is what it is, and it just needs to get DONE. So…tomorrow. Please let it be tomorrow. Then, a final couple tweaks on Thursday (ie- rewriting the opening scene and one of the middle action sequences that needs simplifying)…then some formatting on Friday and probably Saturday and Sunday…and THEN I have an eBook to share and get some feedback on.

Good lord.

Tomorrow is a short day. The Ho is filming. My apologies to the Flix and Narration work crews…I hardly got any of you guys done today, and I probably won’t tomorrow either. But, such is life. I have to finish this fucking rewrite, so help me.

Had a new idea today that might make my book more palatable to the middle-grade crowd…split this novel into three novellas (and the next too books too, which means NINE books for this story). This group of readers really seems to like short reads. I think I’d have to price them at $0.99 each, so it’s not like I’d make any extra money with them this way…in fact, I’d have to comission two extra book covers…but it might just make this rather adult-length novel into sizes this genre is used to, and still bring along the adult readers, too. We’ll see if I follow through with it. I might. I might not. Nine books does sound and feel a lot more impressive than three books…

K, it’s time to go to bed. Night!
