Today was…wonderful.

Woke up late (because I went to bed late…spoiler alert for those who didn’t read last night’s post), but I still got my writing done before we went to have brunch with our friends Dayna and her squeeze Antoine.

I will say this: since making the decision to commit to writing books…my writing “hours” have been a no-brainer. I do not have to put effort into that any more. It’s like a switch went off, and I suppose one did…and I no longer have to motivate myself to do them. I just do. It’s my job now.

Brunch was at The Local Peasant, which we haven’t been to in…probably a year and a half. Saw an old Fullerton friend there working, Ashley, who’s just the nicest sweetest person. She’s worked there now for a while. Dayna and Antoine were good – we talked about life, movies, dogs…twas good times.

Then I came home and did the bits of narration and Netflix work that I needed to catch up on…and I got myself set up for using grammarly to check my Starstuff manuscript. That’s going to (surprise surprise) be a bit more work than I anticipated, but nothing crazy. Then I took a nice long nap, ate some food with the bear and watched The Great British Bake Off show with her, which is just soooooo charming. Hung out with the pups.

It was just a good day off. The time changed over today, which always sucks…but I do love LOVE having longer days in the evenings. I wish we were on this time all the time. That’s what I wish.

Tomorrow…work, so it’s off to bed with me. It will be an adjustment for me this time around because I have to get up at 7am in order to have a couple hours of work time before any apartment business would start…so, it’s an hour earlier to sleep for me, and an hour earlier to wake up. Blech.

wish me luck
