I win work week!
Gonna be real, was a bit tie-tie going into my work day today…and I still crushed it. Ended the week with a win. I win!
I was done with work, too, in time to take the pups on a nice long walk. It was nice and cool out…very little distractions today…I took a late afternoon nap for 30 minutes…it just a good work week you guys. I needed it.
Slowly but surely, these projects are getting marked “complete”. Slowly but sure the boxes are being checked off. I wish it was faster…but I’d also *always* wish it was faster, you know?
Coco is backing up her badonkadonk on my arm right now as she eats her Whimzee stick. She also fell asleep with her face smushed in between my chest and my arm tonight on the couch. We were watching basketball, playing some Fallout and then hanging out with the Ho and the Coops.
I am so, so ready for this weekend. Like woah. I do have a half hour of work on Saturday and another half hour of work on Sunday…but otherwise, this weekend is going to be full of reading, napping, and recharging. I cannot WAIT.
…and then it’s my last week with Netflix for the foreseeable future…sad face. But, it will allow me to check off more of those boxes, and perhaps a bit faster.
I played Fallout tonight after dinner for a couple hours. That was fun. I’ve definitely gotten into the game…I’m building up a little town called “The Castle” and we installed some artillery today to help defend the place. That was good. I know these quests I’m doing right now are actually side-quests…but, I figure they’ll give me some good advantages when it comes to getting back to the main storyline – places to get ammo, beef up my armor protection, that kind of thing. So, I’m sticking with it for now. And I think I’m *super* early in the main storyline…like, I think I’ve done maybe the first two or three of them, and I bet there’s several dozen before you reach the end of that story.
I got to talk to my mom on the phone – I haven’t been walking the dogs in the evenings much lately, I’ve just had so much friggin work to do that I leaned on the Ho wherever I could to take the pups on walks at night times (I’m usually the one who walks them in the AM). And it’s those evening walks that I usually call the family; thus, not much of family-calling has happened lately 😛 So, anyway, that was nice. Parents are doing well. It was good to catch up.
I think that’s all I got tonight, yo. I’m tired. It’s sleepy time.
