Liz is watching videos right now from the dog rescue group Hope for Paws that operates out here in LA. They go out and get dogs that have been abandoned or lost and they clean them up and find them foster homes, forever homes or actual dog rescues. Right now, it’s this dog that got left behind when its humans sold their property and she was pregnant with puppies.

Their simultaneously heartbreaking videos because you see what horrible things we do to animals, but also wonderful and inspiring because each of these dogs is saved, literally – they get all the medical attention they need, they get a bath and a haircut, and each video then shows them a few weeks or months later looking like a completely different dog, happy, and healthy.

Today was a filming day for the Ho, and it was an early filming day. But, that suited both of us just fine – I was doing mop-up work for the project I’d been assigned at the Flix, and I got all that done in time to take a shower, take the pups on a quick walk and then drive over to hang with her before show time. Episode was particularly strong this time, she was great, and we were out of there early enough to come home and give the pups a nice long walk.

They are currently passed the fuck out at the foot of the bed. Both Cooper and Coco are rescued dogs. Coco was on the streets of Downey, abandoned, sick, and having just recently given birth/nursing puppies. She was so hard looking for the first couple months…and then she got her first haircut and she looked like a beautiful shih tzu. If you haven’t met her…she has this incredibly plush, luxurious fur. Not quite as insanely silky smooth like Cooper’s fur, but much more luxurious and plush. And still insanely soft.

Cooper was rescued from a shelter where he probably would have been put down – someone surrendered him to the shelter, which means they didn’t want him any more. That blows my mind, because he was the sweetest, most well-behaved dog from day one. And he was a puppy! Only 9 months old or so when we got him. Very affectionate, very attentive, very submissive. Just a wonderful dog from the jump.

That’s all I got tonight, guys; dog talk. It’s good talk 🙂 Love my doggos.

This weekend…I do my taxes. I don’t think it will take me that long, actually, but we’ll see. Wish me luuuuuuuck.
