We made it back to LA. Spirits are dampened a skoche because of some building stress, but it is nice to be home, regardless. The flights were not too bad because they were broken up in the middle with a stop in Dallas, which I know, sounds like a bummer – we all want non-stop, right? In this case, it broke the trip neatly into two three-hour legs, and somehow that was easier than staring down a 6-hour ride.
We got to have some food with Kristen and Arg, who so generously (seriously, love you guys) came and picked us up from the airport with the pups. The pups were soooo excited to see us, they were all squirmy in the back seat. Then we went on a long walk (me, the Ho and the pups) and unpacked. Or, at least, that’s what I just did, was unpack. We had that washer/dryer in New York which was great, because we were able to wash all our clothes before coming home. Clutch. And, omg, so necessary with a baby in the house.
Henri was fuuussssyyyyy this morning on the car ride to the airport. Thanks to Seth and Lena for driving us, and thanks to them for their hospitality and their company. It was really wonderful to spend time with them and their son. The trip couldn’t have turned out any better overall, to be completely honest. Very grateful for that.
Now it’s time for the sleeps. The doggos are eating their Whimzees and seem so, so glad to be home with us. We missed them. I think they missed us too 🙂
Night!
