So, my manuscript is 100,000 words today. Yikes. I still have quite a bit to go. I’m guessing 6-10,000 more. That I tackle tomorrow. I think. We’ll see how it goes. That’s the goal, anyway.
I had a wonderful day today hanging out with the Ho. We went over to the Westside and had brunch with Aaron and his squeeze Marie. That was awesome. I was supposed to see them a couple weeks ago, but I got sick or something, I can’t quite remember what it was. But they’re adorable and very happy.
Then we walked around for a bit and I impulse purchased a dope ass wool sweater for myself. I’ve needed one for a hot minute, and I saw it, and I was like…huh…I would wear the shit out of that. So, I bought it. Yay 🙂
Liz had an appointment, so while she went to that, I sat and wrote. Banged out about 1,300 words today, I think. We’ll see what the Scrivener tracker says. I didn’t realize there’s a feature in that program that will automatically log how many words you’ve written each day. Freaking LOVE that. I’m so not good about manually tracking my shit. I’ll do it when I’m struggling, but as soon as I really get on a roll, I stop.
But, yeah. Hopefully, tomorrow I’ll be sitting in bed having said that Escape from Red Tower is finished. We’ll see. I’m not going to push it, I’m just going to get as much writing done as I possibly can. If I just focus on THAT every day, I’ll get this book done when it’s supposed to be done.
Got to watch the Warriors play tonight, and they won. That was nice to see. Not quite the dominant performance that they showed the night before, but it was sufficient. I feel like Steph and Klay are finally starting to knock down 3s like previous years. It’s taking a while, but it’s finally starting to happen. The won tonight against the Pelicans who, after having an off-year last year, are a playoff threat once again…and they did it without Kevin Durant.
Tomorrow…writing. Some 49ers football…and more writing.
Wish me luck!
