I worked today, after watching the Niners actually win a football game.
The Red and Gold have a new quarterback…and he looks pretty damn good. Garoppolo struggled mightily in the red zone today, with ZERO touchdowns…but he slayed a crap Bears team everywhere else on the field. He had 300 yards with very mediocre receiving options. But, man…he can throw. No big-play attempts, so we never really got to see him air it out…but he was accurate and on-time for the most part. He had one interception, but that was caught by his receiver and then stripped by the defender; ie- a tough one to have as your first career interception.
I have the printed manuscript now for Escape from Red Tower. Tomorrow…the work begins. I have to get through 200 pages tomorrow of that damn thing…or at least that’s the goal. I’m just going to keep plugging away at this rewrite, putting in whatever hours I need to. That’s the new sense of purpose and focus I have: I’m not going to micromanage my time, I’m simply going to do the work.
In that regard, it’s time to call it quits tonight. I have my email scheduled to go out to my email list tomorrow morning (hi to anyone reading this because I gave my blog a shoutout in there! :), I got my editing work done for Netflix…and man, I have two weeks now until we leave for Christmas. I need to get my shit done.
Good night!
