Josh and I met and podcasted today. Twas grand.

I realized today that it was something I’d been looking forward to all week. I’ve always actually looked forward to podcasting with the Josh…but whenever we take a break, or are coming up on some kind of milestone, like we did today, the anticipation seems to grow even more.

Today, we recorded our 100th and 101st episodes…and we finished The Animated Series. All of TV Trek that Josh had never seen…he’s now seen at least once. Crazy! I mean, Josh watching these shows for the first time, that was really the impetus of this entire podcast. It’s the reason I wanted to do it with him. I wanted to be there when he saw all this stuff for the first time.

And, we’re not quite done yet! Next up are all the movies, starting with The Motion Picture next week. Then we’ll do a movie a night for the next couple months until we’ve watched all of the Original Series movies, and the Next Generation movies. On the one hand, it’s such a shame that Deep Space Nine (or even Voyager, I suppose) never got to share the silver screen…but on the other hand, by the time those shows were ending, the movie franchises were already starting to hit the down slide, so I’m not convinced whatsoever that the movies would have been any good with those other casts.

But, yeah…I’m excited. These movies have felt like a destination from the very beginning. It’s going to have taken us just about two years on the dot to have watched the original show, the animated series, and all the movies. Pretty crazy. Two whole years of my life šŸ˜› But, it’s a project that I am genuinely *immensely* proud of. One of my favorite projects I’ve ever done, and really mean it. It’s right up there with my book. If you haven’t checked it out, give it a whirl. It’s a really, really funny, really, really heartfelt, genuine podcast.

That was really my whole day. I came home kind of wiped out. Walked the pups for a bit, and then watched some Discovery, because I want to watch it all again before we guest on another podcast next week. We’ll see if I can fit it all in. Then Liz woke up from her nap, and we hung out on the couch together for a bit. And now I’m in bed early. Might play a little Switch before sleeping, or read for a bit. We’ll see.

Night.

I’ll catch you guys tomorrow.

Oh! And I followed through with my promise from last night; I called the doctors office. I got a voicemail, but I left a message and I’m sure they’ll call me back tomorrow or on Monday. It felt good, which was a relief. This is the right thing. It’s going to help me.

Here’s to turning things around, y’all! I’m on my way šŸ™‚
