It’s back!
The itch is back…I’m finally feeling like diving back into the writing. Which, really, has only been about a two-week hiatus 🙄 exciting nonetheless. I know that’s not ALL that’s going on, but burnout was definitely a contributing factor. For sure.
The day started off amaze-balls with breakfast with Dayna and Antoine down the street at Jinky’s. Always a solid breakfast, that place. I had pancakes and eggs and fruit. Then we came home and I did narrations for a few hours. Got those done, then hung out with the Ho in bed. We were going to take a nap, but ended up just talking together instead.
I have to take a moment and just say how much I love, genuinely love, that she and I do that; that we check in with each other and just talk whenever there’s something on our minds.
I took the pups out for a walk after that, and then suddenly it was evening times and the Warriors were playing. They lost…barely. The final score was like 8 points, but that’s not quite reflective of the game overall. They really lost it in the 1st quarter by allowing the Rockets to throw down 40 points in the quarter. Curry and Klay didn’t shoot well…but they were literally one play away from the game perhaps turning out completely differently with 1:30 to go. It just didn’t work out.
Then I played a bit of Mario Kart, and went to my office to do a little bit of work. And now, essentially, here we are.
I’m ready to get back to work. Whatever that means. I’m ready to figure this out, this “new” routine, and I look forward to it being my “old” routine soon…meaning not that I’ve changed it, but that I’ve been at it for so long that it’s old-hat 😛
Anywho, I want to read for a bit.
Night.
Lindsay Buroker can actually write, guys. It’s refreshing. It gives me hope for indie books. Cheers to you, Lindsay!
