The Ho and I finished watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel tonight and holy poop pants you guys…it’s really, really good. We really like it. Liz says it’s her new favorite show, for reals. I really liked it, too, especially the lead. She’s, well, marvelous. Run, don’t walk.

Coco just snuggled up on my feet and she is kiiiilllliinnngggg me right now with the cuteness. She does this thing where she nuzzles up her face against me, and she kind of licks her lips, like a self-soothing thing…it’s just the most magical shit ever. Kills. Me.

Writing…has been tough this week. It was a tough week. But I really, REALLY did put in the time and the effort, and even though that time didn’t lead to the chapters I wanted to write, it DID lead to some breakthroughs on this section that I was stuck on. I’ve finally just today stumbled across some stuff that I’m excited about, and what it showed me was that if I put in the TIME to brainstorm and free-write and work through these sections that are fuzzy or aren’t making sense, I do emerge on the other side with a good idea that I’m excited to write about.

So, in that regard, this has actually been an excellent writing week. To my readers who wait for pages each week: I’m so sorry I didn’t have new chapters. I could have ignored the stop signs this week and just plowed ahead on some other part of the story and given you that…but I guess I realized that would have just been putting off the inevitable, which is that I NEEDED to figure out this part of the story. So, in that regard, I hope the non-delivery of new chapters this week was justified, and a good thing.

The Warriors lost. They were missing all three of their stars tonight, Curry, Thompson, and Durant. They couldn’t beat even the lowly Kings, even though it was close and down to the wire. Here’s the thing: this backup unit actually played decently tonight. Not great, obviously, but given enough time to work out a flow together and figure out their sets and plays…this unit CAN actually beat teams. Call me crazy, but them getting the minutes they’re getting right now whilst our regulars rest…it might be a GOOD thing in the playoffs. Don’t get me wrong: losing home-court advantage to the Rockets is NOT a good thing…but this bench-minutes extravaganza might be.

That’s all for tonight. See yous tomorrow 😉
