So, for whatever reason, I was looking at the blog number for tonight’s entry and thinking about where I will be when I cross the 2,000 post mark, which is juuust over a year from now, give or take a month-ish…and that made me think about where I want to be a year from now.

I want to have, like, three or four more books out. At least. I’d love that number to be higher…but I also recognize that it’s part of my process that I do have to take my time and make sure I have the story nailed down before I write it. I also want to have the complete Two Guys One Trek journey out in the world…and I’d like to be making a full-time income from my books. That last one is a big one. A full-time income for me at this moment is $3,000 a month. So, double that. I want to make $6,000.00 a month by the time I hit post number 2,000.

Now, granted…that goal may change and/or move by the time I get there…but at least right now I can set my sights on it, you know? A goal is a compass. It’s not the journey, and the journey is what matters the most. It’s also not the destination. The destination is simply a stopping point. It is what it is by the time I get there, it’s not what I set your sights on when I started out. It changes. It always does. Because *I* change.

I know! Very platitude-type stuff tonight. Michelle Spiva called it “snackable wisdom,” and boy did she peg that about me. I’ve always made a habit of distilling down large and small concepts into a sentence or two from the time I was a child. It just makes more sense to me when I can explain a concept in the span of a sentence. To me, that means I understand it.

Coco was just chewing on her tail hair, which means it’s time for bed! 😛

I got to visit Liz on set today, which was awesome. Filming went great, the hotel we stayed at was great, the views were great…it was great.

Now, tomorrow…back to work 🙂
