I had brunch/lunch with Nikolai today.
I went to the brand-new Orchard Supply in Hollywood which reminded me of my childhood, spending so many afternoons in Pierson’s Building Center in Eureka with my dad. I got a hose and an adapter for our faucet so I could spray down our patio…and I sprayed down our patio, including the bench cushions out there…which hopefully we can sit on now. We’ll see once they dry.
I walked the pups, took a nap, and watched an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, which counts as a movie for my 100 movies list. It was called Time Travelers, and it was amazing. I started watching the next episode in sequence, which was called Cry Wilderness…but it was 80s bad instead of 50s or 60s bad, and I just couldn’t hang. It was the wrong kind of bad for me. I can do “old” bad…but those 80s and 90s crap movies are just too close to home for me. Not enough time for me to feel nostalgia about them. Even the 70s is pushing it.
Then I played some Zelda and waited for the Ho to come home.
It’s late, so it’s sleep time.
