Man, you guys, today was an EPIC day.

First off, happy birthday to Liz! Undoubtedly the best of days, and man…today was one for the record books. I love you, bear!

We spend the entire first half of the day down at the beach. It was sunny, hot, and gorgeous. Perfect weather to spend hours in nature’s pool, and that’s exactly what we did. Hours. I body surfed, floated, and just had a grand old time.

Then, almost in a flash, it was time to get ready for our vow renewal ceremony. Ry-n was the first to show up, obvs, because he did Liz’s hair and make-up. He is so incredible at what he does. Liz has told me she never feels prettier than when he’s done her hair and makeup, and dawg…DAWG…my wife was so gorgeous and incredible looking tonight! So, cheers to Ry-n, and cheers to my wifey.

Then Darren and Anna showed up. Anna was our photographer, and she was here to take photos for us. She was the first person we hired for our wedding, just based off the strength of her portfolio. Holy shit did she deliver for our wedding four years ago (four years!), and I can’t wait to see what she shot today.

Darren was our coordinator, and this time around he served as our Officiant for the ceremony. He had a Kihei and everything! It was so, so amazing. Shane was supposed to be with us, too, but he had some pupper issues to attend to at home, which we *totally* understood, being pupper parents ourselves 😛 (everything is going to be okay with said pupper, by the way. Pupper is on the mend!). The ceremony was beautifully written and performed. Couldn’t have asked for a better officiant.

And the vows! Liz had friends and family write to her with well-wishes and thoughts. She won on the vows this time. Hands down.

Then we took more photos, and went up for drinks and then dinner. Dinner might have been my favorite part, just sharing good food with these wonderful people and my birthday-girl wife.

I seriously will not forget this day for the rest of my life. It was perfect. Just, perfect. Thank you to Ry-n, Shane, Darren, and Anna…and mostly to my amazing wife: marrying you (almost) four years ago was the best thing I’ve ever done. You’re amazing, the most positive influence in my life, and I love you so much. I’m so incredibly lucky I got to renew those wedding vows with you today.

Here’s to four more.

And happy birthday!
