For whatever reason, it strikes me as odd this evening that I still count my blog days. It goes back to the 90-day challenge I first committed to 3-and-a-half years ago. I numbered them then to make sure I did it for 90 days, and the convention just stuck, I guess.
I don’t know how long I’ll do this daily blog. It’s certainly at a point now where the numbers are rather meaningless. Not completely, though. I do enjoy the milestones. Like, reaching 2,000 will be awesome about a year from now. Each anniversary of starting the blog is a major checkpoint in terms of the progress I’ve made. I love finding the artwork each night. But really, I love the daily outlet it gives me to dump out my brain before I sleep, and I love the perspective it gives me when I go back and look at what I was doing on whatever day over the past 3+ years.
Oh, shit…it’s been FOUR and a half years, not 3. Whaaaaaat. Crazy. I’m not going up to that first paragraph though and fixing it 😛
Writing today was kind of a slog…but I think I’m happy with what I have. I was able to crank out almost 1,000 words in just 30 minutes. Then I went to the computer and worked the rest of the day on editing together a Maui video for my readers. Have to finish that tomorrow. I’m really happy with it 🙂
Then Josh came over and we podcasted for the first time in several weeks. A month, I think! Crazy. We watched Generations, which is…not a good movie. It’s not a terrible movie either, but that’s not exactly a high bar, you know? 😛 Josh felt the same way. It was a GREAT podcast, though. 108 episodes. Holy shit.
It’s almost 1am, so it’s time for the sleeps. Gotta get up and Werk tomorrow, too. No idea why that auto-corrected with a capital “W,” but here we are. Not gonna change it.
More shenanigans tomorrow.
Damn, editing this video makes me miss Maui.
Night!
