My streak of Mondays continued today! I wrote 3,000 words, and I did it honestly without toooo much effort. I just set my timers, and I wrote. It does help that I’m writing an interesting section of the book, where some dominoes that I’ve set up are finally falling. To be honest, that’s the weakness of this draft of the book still: not enough dominoes falling early enough in the narrative. But, that’s what rewrites are for!
I did my reading, a full hour of it, which finished off my book.
I watched some of the A’s v Red Sox game (we won!)
I worked out (tired!)
And I capped it all off with watching the Warriors dismantle the Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals with Medwards. He came all the way up from Orange County to watch the game with us! Hi Matt 🙂
It was a really, really good day, and it wiped me out. I am BEAT. I hope I’m not too tired tomorrow…and you know what? Even if I am, I’m still going to get all my shit done. Cuz that’s how I roll.
Another 3,000 words tomorrow is my goal. A chapter and a half…or a long chapter 😛
I set up the light above my writing chair in the bedroom today. It looks awesome. Love it. New chair for my office comes in on Thursday I think. In fact, lemme go check…actually, according to FedEx, it should be here tomorrow. We’ll see. It hasn’t actually be scanned into a shipping facility yet, so I’m not holding my breath. BUT, it is just coming down from the shipping facility on the other side of the grapevine, so…it *could* be here tomorrow.

Very much looking forward to that chair. I really, reallly like sitting in those chairs. They’re super super comfy, and they were actually the first chair I thought of when I wanted to get a writing chair two years ago. And, don’t get me wrong! I love my writing chair I have! I’ve almost written two full novels in that chair! But, I really wanted to have a chair in the bedroom since I like going back and forth between my office and the bedroom lately–it’s really helped my writing stay on track–that I loved the idea of getting a new chair in that cramped space in my office (it’ll actually fit better in there) and having my writing chair here in the bedroom in this corner space we’ve never done anything with.
So, here we are. Fascinating stuff, I know! 😛
