Yo! I am tiiirreeeeeddd tonight. Going to bed EARLY 😛

But, I want to have a kickass day tomorrow writing-wise. Writing today was a bit of challenge, but not so much in the anxiety department–although that certainly had at least something to do with it–but, no…it wasn’t an especially anxiety-filled day. It was more so that I’m back to a different story thread, and I realize now that it usually takes me a little bit of effort to get back “in” to a story thread.

Well, that shit just happened before bed! Halleloo.

I wrote just shy of 1,500 words. Good words. Vivid words. Surprises and climaxes, and characters doing things both in-character, and surprising themselves and others.

I love this storyline that I’m on. Love it. It works. It’s exciting. It’s fresh. It sizzles. It’s packed with good characters, established characters. This other storyline is mostly a challenge because the characters that populate it are so NEW. I haven’t fully fleshed them out yet, even now, as I’ve basically finished that storyline. It’s what I’m going to spend most of my time rewriting, to be honest.

So, yeah. It’s not 8,000 words in two days, which was the goal. It’s half that…but tomorrow is a new day. I’m going to bust my butt to get there.

Wish me luck 🙂 G’night.

Tonight’s photo is a set of original watercolors of the Trek movie posters by an artist who’s doing 365 days of Trek artwork. His name is Lee Sargent, he’s from Australia, and I really, really love his aesthetic. As you know, I *love* SciFi artwork, particularly original pieces–there’s only ONE of them in the entire world, you know?–and I am so excited to have these. I can’t wait to frame them and put them on the wall of my office so I can look at them whilst I write! Cheers, Lee! Here’s a link to his Etsy store where he sells these pieces for suuuuch a good deal: go check him out!
