Happy Father’s Day to my dad, Jon Heinichen. I love you, dad! You taught me everything I need to know about being compassionate, humorous, moral, and creative. Among everything else! 🙂

We went on a nice little hike today out by the gorge with Scott and Amir. Nina didn’t come with us because she had work to do (which, apparently, was a milestone day in terms of work accomplished!), but we had a wonderful time. We actually went to the hatchery, which is freaking gorgeous. Seriously, it was a rather pleasant-looking facility, with plenty of greenery, water, and stuff to see. Then, we stopped off on a trail/campground for which we were afraid we wouldn’t find parking, but we totally did! It only ended up being about a half-mile hike, but we had a great time doing it.

We had dinner with Scott and Addie after that at a sushi place that was freaking delicious and startlingly cheap. Scott was saying that it seems *most* restaurants in Portland are pretty inexpensive. At least compared to LA or Bay Area prices. And that’s always a nice surprise. Then, we had some Ice Cream across the street, which was delish.

Going to bed early tonight. We’re up early to go see Julianne and Mike for breakfast–I can’t wait to see their “new” place (new to me, I haven’t been there yet)–and then it’s back home. Just like that.

Night, folks. See you on the flip!
