This *BOOK* I be readin, y’all. It’s sooo gooood.

There is nothing better than a well-crafted story. The way it sucks us into its twists and turns, and gets us to care about the people caught up in it all. This particular book had a lot of its heavy lifting done for it already, given that it’s based on TV characters.

I’m speaking of A Stitch In Time by Andrew Robinson, the chap who played the character of Garak on the Star Trek show Deep Space Nine. It’s easily been one of the best books I’ve read this year. Just really, really solid, compelling storytelling. A rise to power, a fall from grace, and–I’m guessing–a redemption.

If you have even remote knowledge of the world of Star Trek, I’d highly recommend reading the book. You don’t actually need all THAT much insider knowledge.

Other than reading today, I didn’t do much work. I needed to take a breather today, and I did, as best I could. Tomorrow, it’s back to the keyboard. 4,000 words will be the goal, and all before Josh gets her to do some Two Guys One Trek.

I can do it 🙂

Good night. The end of my novel awaits, both the one I’m reading, and the one I’m writing…
