Today was one of those days. Hijacked. Lost. For the most part, anyway.
The building consumed both Liz and me today. It was just one of those things, there wasn’t really anything we could do about it. Without going into detail, work had to be done, supervised, coordinated, and ordered. So, that’s what we did. I realized that it’s far, far less stressful for me when I’m not able to be productive because of factors that are entirely outside of my control. It’s when *I’m* to blame for my lack of production that my anxiety kicks in. Good to know.
With that said, I did not get any writing done. I haven’t at all this week, with exception of some editing and adding of scenes on Tuesday. Not good. Gonna get some done tomorrow, but not a lot. I have commitments tomorrow, too. Sigh. Life never stops, guys. We have to learn how to write with life still continuing. That’s the trick. Carving out time.
Tonight marked the end of an era. Josh and I finished Two Guys One Trek. At least this iteration of it. We accomplished what we set out to do, which was watch all the way through the TNG Trek movies. We’ve recorded 111 episodes in all. One hundred eleven. It’s the most of anything I think I’ve ever done, with the singular exception of this blogging streak.
As of this blog entry, we have 79 of those 111 episodes released. Just like cutting together a feature film, it’s a wrap now on recording this next batch, and the task becomes cutting it all together and making it sing. I’ll be doing that later this year sometime. I hope. I have a lot of writing to do! 😛 Two and a half years of recording together. Crazy that–again, at least in this particular configuration–it ended tonight. It truly is the end of an era…and the beginning of another. I’m so, so damn proud of this podcast. I can’t wait to share the end with you 🙂
That’s it for tonight, folks. I’ll see you tomorrow.
Never saw the sun…
