I’m “feeling” it again…
A connection to the end part of this story. It all started with the little breakthrough yesterday, a character moment that opened up this otherwise “shoe leather” scene, where I basically needed to explain what was happening. But, thanks to this particular character, the scene is alive now.
I wrote just shy of 2,000 words today, which is definitely not 4,000…but that’s okay. I’m going to hit that mark tomorrow. I’ve sketched out where I need to go for this last section of the book. It was so murky just a few days ago, but now it’s clear. I can get there. I just have to write it now.
So, it was a good day.
I finished the submission for the Parsec awards. I hope they like it. I sincerely doubt we’re going to win anything, given how stiff the competition is, but I have to say that it was a pleasure putting it together. Thanks to the Ho for nominating us. And if we don’t win, we’ll have another crack at it next year with seasons 4 and 5.
I really, really love my podcast. Love it. I love the production value, I love the subject matter (Trek!), I love the memories, I love the listeners…it is one of the purest, most quintessentially “Ira” things I’ve ever done in my life. Truly. It represents me in so many ways as a human being. I realize that it being so personal means it won’t appeal to everyone, probably to most, actually…but on the other side of the coin, I know that also means it will appeal to a very specific group of people who are just like me…at least when it comes to Trek and laughter and camaraderie.
Cheers to those people 🙂
I still have a spot of reading to do, so I’m off to my pillow. I hope you had a good day. Tomorrow: WORK!
Good night!
