Liz and I just spent the evening with the King kids, and oh are they just the best. They’re just such happy kids. So smart, so outgoing and energetic, so fun and creative…and well-behaved.

They came back recently from a trip to France. Matt and Cat have both been posting these photos from that trip that are just so sooooo good. Epic photos. Out of control beautiful. And so we sat around the table, and had each family member talk about what they liked most about the trip.

Then, we ate ice cream sundaes. Yuuuummmm. After that, the kids burned off their sugar rush with the pups. Yes, we brought them, too, and this was the FIRST time that the kids weren’t super scared or cautious about Coops. He’s usually too much energy for them, and they get a bit skittish around him…but not this time. It was a total energy change, and it was that way for all three of them.

Wolfie, in particular, is in love with Cooper. He pretended to be a dog with Cooper basically all night, following him around, mimicking whatever he was doing; like when Cooper was down on the carpet rubbing his face and digging, Wolfie did the same thing, giggling like a maniac.

That boy needs a dog.

Matt knows. It’s happening…some day.

My day otherwise was pretty low-key. I woke up late. I don’t know exactly why, but I was so freaking tired. Just tiiirrreeeddd. Probably because all that work to finish up this draft finally caught up to me, and I’m used to taking it easy on Sundays, anyway. But, I woke up at almost 10:40. Super late.

I took care of walkies with the Coops (Coco was with Liz on a morning adventure), and then watched some of the baseball game up in the Bay. The A’s took the series 2-1. YEEESSSSS. SUCK IT GIANTS AHAHAHAHAAA. I also went and got groceries…and then I got my hair cut.

Now…it’s sleep time. I have a short story to start writing tomorrow.

Wish me luck!
