Today was a recharge day. Not planned, but it was anyway.

I have this “ideal” of working my ass off for four days of the week, and taking it easy-er the other three days. Write like the dickens four days, write not as much three days.

I never seem to stick to that schedule. Which is fine; I will find my own routine, you know? I can’t force much without it pushing back.

I hadn’t taken a day off yet this week, so taking it easier today made sense. I did some outlining and some scene sketching, but that was it. Which was a bit of an annoyance, given that I wanted to knock out a good chunk of the first part of this new rewrite, OR make more headway on my short story.

Sigh.

But, I took most of the day to recharge, at least writing-wise. I still did my reading, my other errand-stuff, took care of the pups, AND did almost a full hour of educational/deliberate practice stuff.

Tomorrow is going to be a productive day. I can see in my head that I’ll sit down and muck through the first couple thousand words of this new rewrite. Hopefully a little more than that…probably some outlining. But, I’ve gone through this now finally juuuuust enough times to know that it’s going to take me a little bit to get the words cranking, and that’s normal for me. I have to feel my way through the dark a bit.

It’s normal.

Just have to remember that 😛

Night!
