I had an excellent day outlining today. Some really, really good ideas both for adjustments to make on what I’ve already written, and ideas on finishing this bad boy up. I’m essentially “losing” a week here by doing this outlining stuff, but it was necessary. So very, very necessary. It’s actually getting to the point where I’m itching to write again, to write the rest…and that’s the money spot, the pot of gold.

So, that was wonderful. I felt really inspired. It’s been a while on this book, or at least this storyline. But I’m finding it. I’m finding what I really need the story to be about, and that’s always a big breakthrough. That AND some really, really fun ideas about plot elements and twists and turns. This book…I dare say…actually, finally has a real chance of being better than my first book. That’s huge for me. HUGE.

Then, I went and played golf with Josh. It was 100º out! Holy crap. It wasn’t supposed to be that hot today, but it was. I’d lathered up with sunscreen and we both brought plenty of water to keep us hydrated, so we were fine. We chatted, played, and then had iced teas together under the umbrellas outside the little clubhouse.

Anywho…tomorrow I need to finish this outline. Or at least get damn close. Make sure all the dominoes are falling and being pushed by the characters. If I have one self-criticism for the time spent this week outlining, it’s that I haven’t put in enough hours. I’ve kind of taken the time “off” for the most part, and I need to get better at that. So…that’s the goal tomorrow. Three solid hours of outlining. Then, we’ll see where I’m at.

Book 2 is coming, folks. It’s coming…
