Home! Ooohhhh…it’s so good to be home, and what a perfect day to be back within the familiar confines than on Liz and my panda-versary. Pandaversary is now a 14-year old tradition. It’s the anniversary of our first date. It’s also the date that I proposed to her back in 2014.
Four. Teen. Years. My my. How awesome is that? Impressive. Legendary! Love you so, so much, bear. It’s honestly hard to believe it’s been that long. Time flies when you’re in love.
She was out most of the day today helping Joe and Madhuri with some stuff, and then hanging out with Kristen. But, she came home early from all that, and we went and got carry out Pizza together, and plopped down to watch Up together. The opening montage of that movie–and the music that accompanies it–has always held a special place in our hearts. I used it, the music that is, in the video proposal I made.
The pups have been such snuggle muffins all day. I think they knew I was tired. I got up and did morning routine, and promptly went right back to sleep for another two hours. And, I mean dead-to-the-world sleep. I was OUT. It’s been a long two weeks.
But, we’re home now. We’ve been home together for fourteen years. Life is good.
I have a panda-versary card to write, and a wife to kiss. Good night.
