Don’t quite have my sea legs back up underneath me yet, but I *did* get writing done. Not a ton, but some.

I’m working on the novella for the next couple days because I owe it to my email list. They didn’t get any last month because of email snafus, and because I couldn’t give to them anyway, and I was cranking on Red Tower, I blew it off to this month.

I was hoping I’d be done with this rewrite by this time, and I could just slide right into it…but alas. I must let go of that deadline. It’s come and gone. That’s another big step for me to take: setting a writing deadline and actually delivering on it.

One step at a time, man…one step at a time.

I got to hang out with Josh today. After creating something we’re so proud of in Two Guys One Trek, and all those discussions together and jokes and laughter and just plain old *thinking*, we really miss each other and the podcast. I’m not sure what our next project is, but we’re both itching to find it. In the meantime, we’re playing golf, and then sitting outside the club house with iced teas and just talkin.

In other news, Cooper is just the SWEETEST fucking dog I have ever met. He jumped up onto the bed next to me, laid out kinda flat and super super soft…so I petted him of course, and he leaned back so he could give me some puppy kisses on my forehead. Uuuughhh. I love him so much. He’s just such a love nugget.

A’s lost to the Yankees tonight, so our ground gained yesterday has been erased. Sigh. I was hoping for a sweep. But, we have a chance to beat them tomorrow. What can you do? All signs kind of point to the A’s being the second wild card team. It’s possible that we could snatch the division or the first wild card, but it’s definitely not likely.

Tomorrow, we start the day with a ton of building stuff. Hopefully that doesn’t derail me too much, but even so, I’m setting my goals small: finish this chapter of the novella for my list readers. That’s it.

Wish me luck!

Good night.
