I attended my very first Mehindi party tonight. I really hope I’m spelling that right.
It was for Joe and Madhuri’s wedding on Saturday, and it seems like it’s fairly akin to a Bridal Shower in Indian culture, but for this one, everyone was invited. People ate, listened to live music, got henna done for the wedding, and mingled and talked.
The food was SO GOOD.
Guys, I love Indian food. Who knew? Good Indian food, that is. And holy balls tonight was good Indian food. Samosas with that spicy green sauce that gives me LIFE. This chickpea pasta that was all rolled up, and then more chickpeas, but whole in a sauce that you eat with this puffed up bread that was out of control delicious. And I also love chai with milk. Who knew???
That was pretty much my whole day. I did work on my goals for 2019. That should be ready to post tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we set off to downtown LA to stay with the rest of the wedding party. We have a rehearsal, a rehearsal dinner, and then a soirée all downtown close to the venue, which is Union Station. It’s going to be a busy day!
I’ll try to get some work done before that, but we’ll see.
