Y’all…it worked. Going to bed early and getting a full 8 hours of sleep WORKED last night. I wasn’t tired today at all. Praise baby g.

Writing was still tough. It’s going to be for a little while, I think. Hopefully not. But, that wouldn’t surprise me. I haven’t been writing new words for almost 3 months. It’s bound to happen that way. The editorial brain is very different than the writing brain.

Work is back to smooth. I’m completely confident now that I can finish this project on time. I set a goal of finishing three of these things a day, and that’s exactly what it seems like I can do. Today I did it with a little time to spare. I’ve worked out a process.

I got to come home and watch the Warriors dismantle the Clippers. It was Boogie Cousins’ first game with the Warriors, and his first game back from a gruesome Achilles injury around this time last year.

He was excellent.

The Warriors were excellent. The offense definitely has a long way to go rhythm-wise with Boogie in the lineup, but here’s the thing: they don’t even feel the slowdown from that starting five awkwardness because Cousins is already changing the entire second lineup rotations. That second unit *dominated* tonight with him in it. Holy crap. Granted, I don’t think they were facing the Clippers’ normal second unit, but still…it was dramatic. That second unit basically put the game away.

If this Warriors team stays healthy, it might be the best team in NBA history. That is a *huge* IF. But, it’s true. Five all-stars in the starting lineup. Holy shit.

I also played some Beat Saber and sweated my ass off. I only beat two levels, but they were hard ones! Took me an hour 😛

Anywho, time for sleeps. I’m exhausted, as usual, and definitely frustrated with a lack of progress this week on the book…but determined to get my mojo back as soon as I can. Just gotta keep at it.

Night!
