Today is the last blog entry I’ll write in the 1,000s. That’s CRAZY.
I don’t really have anything profound to say about that, except that I’m really, really happy to be crossing into the 2,000s here in Maui.
We had quite the good time today. We woke up and had breakfast here at the condo, then we drove down to the far other side of the island to eat at Mama’s Fish House, a meal that’s become a staple.
We just did apps and desserts this time on a recommendation from Stephen, and holy crap it was sooooo goooood.
Oh! And Happy Easter, everyone! 🙂
It was packed at Mama’s, of course. We told them it was our anniversary (it’s always our anniversary when we go to Mama’s) and they gave us some ice cream at the end that was probably my favorite of the desserts we had. We had sashimi (my favorite dish of theirs, probably), a sashimi salad that was goddamn delicious, a local venison dish, and a local beef dish that was served in a papaya. Drool.
We came back to our side of the island after that and packed up for Kapulua beach, which is the favorite beach of a friend of ours who has property here. It was so calm there! No good for boogey boarding, but soooo good for just floating and watching the sun set, which we did.
Oh, and I forgot to mention Pa’ia, the little town where Mama’s is. We walked around it and shopped. I got a new hat, and so did Liz. It was super charming over there. It’s the windy side of the island, for sure, but it’s soooo pretty there.
Then we came home, ordered take out poke and chirashi bowls, and watched Game of Thrones on the TV using the HDMI connector I had for my Switch, but doesn’t actually work for my switch, but it DOES work for my iPad, sooo…winning.
Great day. We did so much!
Night 🙂
