How must it feel to know how to play an instrument so well that you can rock out with it?
It must feel like flying.
That’s how the Ho put it. I agree. I imagine that’s how it must feel. Flow state. Bliss.
She found a woman from Hawaii who plays the ukulele like a flamenco guitar. We’re going to go see her at Pepperdine in October. And now we’re listening to Rodrigo y Gabriela. They play the guitar, not the uke 🙂
I had a muuuch busier day than I anticipated, but it was a good day. I was really worried about my writing, to be honest, whether or not I was still going to feel stuck on this new element I’m changing to the story…but goddamn it, I think it’s going to work. I think it’s very interesting, very SciFi…and I think it works character-wise, too.
We’ll see.
Meeting with James in the morning, so it’s time for sleeps.
I’ve been stressing less lately about when I go to sleep. That’s a major shift for me. Going to bed “late” used to really stress me out. Now, I just kind of aim for the right time, and don’t pay attention to exactly when my head hits the pillow.
This is much better.
Much, much better.
Good night.
