I’m happy to be home.

I realize that tonight with some sense of…relief? Maybe? Or just satisfaction. I’m leaning toward satisfaction.

I loved going away this weekend. Like, I was looking forward to it so much, and it delivered everything I wanted: time with my wife, time with my pups, some luxury in terms of being pampered, good food, and general laziness. Holy crap, did this weekend deliver alllll of that.

And it’s so close, too! Which is nice. It is such the perfect spot to sneak away for a weekend.

But Liz and I were out on the walk and I was looking at the neighborhood we live in and thinking about getting back to work (for a few days before we jet off again, this time literally)…and I was so happy thinking of being home. I take that as a good sign that I enjoy where I live, and I love my life in general.

A’s won today to take 3 of 4 games against the Tigers. We remain 1 game back of Tampa, and 1.5 games ahead of Cleveland, both of whom also won.

The 49ers won today, too! We didn’t play particularly well…Garroppolo in particular looked very rusty, but we had four takeaways from the Bucs on the day, two of which were pick-sixes, and those won the day. We beat them by 14. It was a game 1 win, which frankly, we friggin needed. Defense looks MUCH improved.

And now, I’m turning in.

Have to take the Schnoops into the mechanic tomorrow morning to see if we can figure out what this AC blockage is that’s keeping water inside there and sloshing around.

Wish me luck! I hope you had a wonderful weekend as well! 🙂
